I just realized it's new year's eve tomorrow. Let's hope the next year will be better than this one was.

Maybe I'll make a resolution. I've never bothered before, but it couldn't hurt.

Purgatory? Are you kidding? Like I’d fall for that shit. Whoever is casting this illusion or whatever, you can stop right now, understand? You aren’t fooling me, no way no how. I grew up surrounded by some of the most powerful people ever, so there’s no chance of me falling for some cheap parlor trick like this. Come on! A temple? A speech about how bad I’ve been and how I need to repent? Oh, I’m so scared! And no powers, too, that’s a nice touch but Sylar didn’t have his before either so unbelievable! You expect me to fall for this piece of crap? You can’t even make it original, because I know you must have based this city on someplace. It’s way too familiar. I’m too busy going through all the cities I’ve been in trying to place which one you based this on to have any energy left over to be intimidated! So you can just drop it, got it? Drop it and fight me like a man! I’ll get you!

Myst here, coming back with two of my old characters (with more waiting in the wings)

Plz to be adding [info]sociopath_elle and [info]snackoo_katonk :)

I COULDN'T STAY AWAAAAAAY

Um, Elle will only have the vaguest memories of her previous time here and is canon-updated to a different point. Ema is exactly the same and will not have even known she left at all.

Now spam this entry to make me feel loved.

Turning to photography as a creative outlet during a valiant fight with breast cancer at age 34, [info]renaissance10 survived and set up a photo contest to help raise funds for the Lavender Trust, a nonprofit that provides information and support to younger women with breast cancer. In the first two years, the competition brought in over £65,000 (that's $107,260.73 U.S.!), with entries from 130 countries last year. Renaissance10 recently joined LiveJournal to meet other passionate photographers and find supportive friends.

Howdy, dearies.

As of this moment, both the battery and AC adapter for my current primary laptop have failed in a magnificent way. This means that I am now in the process of fixing them / replacing them / getting a new laptop. I won't be particularly active, but i'll try my damnedest to be. In addition, Kits is visiting me tomorrow until January 4th, so that will cut down my activity as well. HOWEVER. I do still have a netbook so I shall make attempts to post and be semi-active.

As of right now, however, consider me on a mini-hiatus. If you have a desperate need to contact me or get hold of me, send an email to SkyeAcadia AT gmail DOT com and i'll get back to you.

Otherwise, i'll post when I can, where I can.

Much love for now, and here's to hoping I either A) Fix this laptop fast or B) Find a good laptop deal fast.

Since everyone is attached, please make an effort to contact one another or at least make a post :3

Also~

The first Puzzle shows up today. :O At about 8 o'clock (EST - 1 1/2 hours-ish).

It's a sliding puzzle and it gives the first clue, which simply tells them that they will have to find the key. :')

The next two puzzles are going to be pattern puzzles, first with letters, then with numbers.
That way you guys know~

Get to posting~

This is, uh...a strange situation. But I guess one comes to expect these sort of things in this place, even of the timing is a little inconvenient.

Nonetheless.

To celebrate Christmas, I'll be making a dinner here. Anyone is invited--the more the merrier, you know? Just let me know if you're coming so I know how much to make.

I hope that Ritsuka can cook, or at least not be like how he was in the kitchen.

LiveJournal Major Notes: Get your holiday fix! @ 11:37 am

[info]theljstaff, posting in [info]news:

Holiday debuggery

We know there were a few kinks with the holiday promotion. We've been working very hard to get them ironed out. If you have a paid/permanent account, keep on sending those coupons. Here's an update:

  • If you were unable to send out multiple coupons at a time, please perform a hard refresh, and you should be good to go.
  • If you redeemed a coupon to upgrade your account and the balance at checkout was $0 instead of $9.95 or $15, this means your upgrade did not go through (nor were you charged). We've straightened this out, so you can now apply your holiday coupon toward the purchase of an annual paid account.
  • If you tried to redeem a holiday coupon and had trouble using a gift certificate to cover the balance of an annual paid account, we identified the root problem. If this happened to you, you can now use your holiday coupon together with your gift certificate.
  • If the number of holiday coupons you have available suddenly goes up (instead of down), this might be due to recipients declining the coupons, at which point your pool of available coupons will be replenished and, therefore, increase.
  • If you need assistance with holiday coupons or pretty much anything else (well, LiveJournal related), please open a support request and we'll be more than happy to help!

Tweaks

  • There were some initial glitches displaying results on My Guests, but we've worked them out. We hope you'll check out who's been checking you out!
  • Some of you reported formatting issues using the Rich Text Editor (i.e., line breaks were being removed incorrectly). We've implemented a fix! Thanks so much for your patience.

Give a little extra!

We're pleased to report that we've already sold over 100 virtual red ribbons in honor of National AIDS Awareness month. Remember, for each charitable vgift you purchase for $2.99, we'll donate 100 percent of gross proceeds to IAVI.org (the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative) to fund the development of an HIV vaccine. Once again, we thank you for your generosity.

Celebrate with holiday vGifts!

Stop by the Virtual Gift Shop and share some holiday magic with your LiveJournal friends.

Photos of the week

We're back with more dazzling pictures from around the world. Congrats to [info]marlenemcc, who has been awarded a virtual blue ribbon as the winner of our fourth photo contest. We hope you'll click over to LJ_Photophile poll and tell us your picks in pics!

For more fantastic user content, we'll meet you under the cut. Read more... )

Curtains

Thanks, again, for reading. Here's wishing you the very merriest of holidays. We'll see you next year!
